Collaborating with Infobank, Multipolar Technology and IBM held a seminar “Measuring the Acceleration of Digital Banking Transformation” on May 17 at the Pullman Thamrin hotel, Jakarta. This seminar explored mitigation strategies and bank readiness to face cyber-crime, with the support of IBM Security QRadar XDR and IBM Guardium Solutions.

The IBM QRadar XDR solution with XDR advantages combines EDR, NDR, SIEM, and SOAR, making response to cyber-attacks faster. Meanwhile, IBM Guardium is known for its ability to protect data with full features and is user friendly.

BPD Forum “Raise Customer Loyalty through Banking-as-a-Service Platform”

After 2 years of being postponed, Multipolar Technology made its comeback of the annual BPD Forum together with ASBANDA.

Hosted at The Apurva Kempinski Bali on the 16th-18th February 2022, BPD Forum’s “Raise Customer Loyalty through Banking-as-a-Service Platform” aims to support the digital transformation journey, especially for BPDs throughout Indonesia.

The Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform offers a new way for banking by integrating financial services in a digital direction. Also, as a drive of the regional economy, it was hoped that from implementing a digital platform, it could increase competitiveness and create a better customer experience.

The 2022 BPD Forum was filled by several speakers who could help improve the implementation of digital platforms in regional banking and OJK was also present to thoroughly explore the importance of security factors and customer loyalty in electronic transactions. This event focuses on two panels, namely Automation & Security and Scalability & Reliability.

The emergence of hybrid work trend has raised several questions related data security, such as how to secure the company network? Or how to keep companies meeting complex data security in an efficient way?

“Perimeterless Cybersecurity for Hybrid Work Models” was presented by Cisco Cyber Security Expert, Faisal Yahya, who was accompanied by Milton Vandalen Siahaan.

This webinar described the priority scale of companies implementing a hybrid work system in this post-pandemic era and explained how Cisco can protect companies while doing hybrid work using zero trust approach. Cisco Umbrella has a solution that able to protect company data and detects quickly if an anomaly occurs.

In the beginning of December, Multipolar Technology kicked off a collaboration event again with Infocomputer and IBM. This Event discussed the readiness of businessmen to manage infrastructure using hybrid cloud. Cloud technology tends to be more flexible and save resources, but hybrid cloud still cannot be separated from the role of on-premises infrastructure.

Hybrid cloud will always be relying on three things. Firstly, it has Private Cloud, second is Public Cloud and lastly is Conventional IT Infrastructure.

In Several cases, application development and data storage are considered more secured if it’s done on-premises. For more sensitive data, on-premises are also considered a safer and stable storage media. In addition, adopting a hybrid cloud must be based on the journey.

Not everything that seems right to be done in the cloud turns out to be as expected, and the other way around. Because of that, Multipolar Technology recommends IBM Power10 with an optimal and updated performances for on-premises infrastructure that can be used on hybrid cloud.  Primarily, it is also in terms of integration with Red Hat.

To accommodate wider needs, IBM Power10 is also equipped with Automated services with Ansible, IBM Cloud Pak Technology, and OpenShift services. Additionally, IBM Power10 has the ability to encrypt from on-premises to cloud or end-to-end encryption and has a chip for artificial intelligence (AI). On November 16th, MLPT together with Infobank and IBM held the Digital Financial Outlook 2022 event: Cyber ​​Security Transformation in the Digital Financial Era.

As Chair of the First Commission, Meutya Hafid gave her opening remarks regarding on how the event explores the security access not only to company data, but also specifically personal data. In competing with always on the move digital era, conventional finance transaction declines as practical digital transaction conquers. With all things considered, organizations necessarily need to be smart in ensuring their data security 24×7.

Together with IBM, Multipolar Technology has a way in confronting that challenge, with using IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) solution.
